ELMI Power receives calibration law certification: milestone for transparency and innovation in the charging infrastructure

ELMI Power has taken a significant step forward in just three months: The ELMI Hub 400 and ELMI Dispenser 400 battery-based fast-charging systems are now officially certified in accordance with calibration law. This certification in accordance with the German Measurement and Verification Act (MessEG) underlines ELMI Power's commitment to transparency, safety and quality in electromobility.

German calibration law ensures that measuring devices such as those used in charging stations are accurate and reliable. Since April 1, 2019, all public and semi-public charging stations in Germany must comply with calibration law if the electricity supplied is billed. This ensures that users only pay for the energy they actually charge and that billing is traceable.

With this successful certification, ELMI Power proves that innovation and regulatory compliance can go hand in hand. The combination of the ELMI Hub 400 and the ELMI Dispenser 400 enables ultra-fast charging with up to 400 kW, even at locations with limited grid capacity. Thanks to an integrated 340 kWh buffer battery, the system can absorb power from the grid and quickly deliver it to electric vehicles when needed.

“The calibration certificate is an important milestone for ELMI Power. It not only confirms the quality and reliability of our products, but also strengthens the trust of our customers and partners in our technology,” explains Jonas Meyer, Sales Manager at ELMI Power.

ELMI Power’s calibration-compliant charging infrastructure offers numerous advantages:

  • Transparent billingUsers receive precise information about the amount of energy charged and the corresponding costs.
  • Eligibility for subsidiesMany state subsidy programs require compliance with calibration law.
  • Fast implementationThe charging infrastructure can be planned and put into operation in less than five months, which is significantly faster than with conventional transformer-based solutions.

The certification was carried out in collaboration with the NMi Group, a recognized testing and certification service provider. This partnership enabled the certification process to be implemented efficiently and quickly.

With its successful calibration law certification, ELMI Power is setting new standards in electromobility. The company shows that technological innovation and legal requirements are compatible and can jointly contribute to the further development of the charging infrastructure.
