Wayne Chen (also known as Wangyu Chen) is an experienced expert in finance, operations and strategy in the electromobility and cleantech industry. At ELMI Power, he is responsible for business structuring, process optimization and scaling for sustainable growth and profitability.
With a background in industrial engineering and a specialization in photovoltaic energy systems and electric drive technologies, he combines technical and business know-how. His strength lies in developing companies from the early phase into a scalable, structured organization.
Prior to ELMI, he worked with fast-growing start-ups, soonicorns and unicorns and helped scale a company from 5 to 250 employees, quintuple sales and achieve profitability. He gained experience in venture building and VC investment at Rocket Internet and Delivery Hero, among others. He began his career in Financial Audit at EY.
With strategic thinking and operational excellence, he is a driving force behind ELMI Power’s mission.
